ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael serves as the Permian Land Manager for Black Mountain Oil and Gas, bringing 19 years of full-scope land experience in the oil and gas industry.

Prior to joining Black Mountain, Michael worked as an independent before holding in-house roles at SM Energy, Concho Resources, and ConocoPhillips. He brings extensive experience in building leasehold positions, managing active rig schedules, and executing value-add transactions across multiple Lower 48 basins, with a primary focus over the past nine years in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico.

Michael holds a B.B.A. in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Professional Landman through the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and is an active member of the Permian Basin Landmen’s Association (PBLA), Fort Worth Association of Professional Landmen (FWAPL), and New Mexico Landmen’s Association (NMLA).
